Wedding videographer London

I’m Daniel Kinder, a wedding videographer working across London. I’m based in Essex, which puts me inside the M25 in well under an hour, and I film in the city most weekends of the year. Wedding work goes out under The Wedding Film; there is no travel fee anywhere inside the M25.

How I film a London wedding

Documentary-led, and unposed. I do not run line-ups, I do not stage the confetti twice, and I do not ask you to walk towards me in slow motion. I follow the day, film what actually happens, and cut it into something you will still want to rewatch in ten years.

In practice that means full-day coverage from preparations through to the dancefloor, a short teaser edit for sharing, and a longer feature film with the speeches and the ceremony in full. I take one wedding a week, so your day is the only thing in the diary.

Light is the hard part in the city

London venues are frequently the trickiest rooms to film in: basement ceremony spaces, warehouse conversions with one high window, rooftops that are beautiful for twenty minutes and blown out for the rest of the afternoon. Nightlife is where I learned to shoot in the dark, and that experience is why a dim City ceremony room is not a problem.

The single biggest thing you can do to improve your film costs nothing: plan the timeline around the light. If we can find fifteen quiet minutes near sunset, that is usually the part of the film people remember.

Where in London I film

All thirty-two London boroughs and the City, with no travel fee inside the M25. That covers East London and the Hackney and Shoreditch warehouse venues, Central London hotels and livery halls, South and West London, and the greener venues out towards the Surrey and Hertfordshire borders. Working alongside your photographer

I film; I do not shoot stills. That is deliberate, and it means I am never competing with your photographer for the same frame. I work regularly with photographers across London and Essex and I am happy to make an introduction if you have not booked one yet.

Booking

Most weddings are booked nine to eighteen months ahead. Send your date and your venue through the contact form and I will tell you straight away whether the date is free, and what the film would cost for that day.
