Wedding videographer Essex

I’m Daniel Kinder, and Essex is home. It is where I live, where most of my weddings are, and the reason I can get to a barn near Chelmsford at seven in the morning without it being an ordeal. Wedding work goes out under The Wedding Film, and there is no travel fee anywhere in the county.

Documentary wedding films, not a highlight reel

The approach is the same wherever I am: follow the day, film what actually happens, and stay out of the way while doing it. No line-ups against a hedge, no staged first look, no direction beyond “carry on”. What you get back is the day as it was, cut so that it moves.

Coverage runs from preparations to the dancefloor. You get a short teaser edit to share, and a longer feature film with the ceremony and the speeches in full. I only take one wedding a week.

Essex venues, and what they do to a film

Essex weddings tend to fall into three rooms, and each one changes the plan. Converted barns are generous in the afternoon and can go very dark once the doors close, so the ceremony time matters more than people expect. Country houses and their grounds give you the best fifteen minutes of the day if we protect the hour before sunset. Coastal and estuary venues out towards Southend and the Blackwater are wonderful and windy, which is a sound problem rather than a picture problem — it is why I bring more than one microphone.

Areas covered — Essex, Kent and Hertfordshire

Across Essex with no travel fee: Chelmsford, Brentwood, Basildon, Southend-on-Sea, Colchester, Braintree, Epping, Saffron Walden and everywhere between. Just over the borders I film Hertfordshire weddings — St Albans, Hertford, Ware and the Lea Valley — and Kent weddings from Dartford and Sevenoaks out towards Canterbury and the coast.

London is covered separately, with no travel fee inside the M25: see wedding videographer London. Destination weddings and further afield in the UK are by arrangement — just ask.

Booking an Essex wedding

Most weddings are booked nine to eighteen months ahead, and Saturdays in summer go first. Send your date and your venue through the contact form and I will confirm whether the date is free and quote for that specific day.

Recent films are on the wedding portfolio, and there is more background on the about page.

TODO — client to supply

  • The named Essex venues Daniel has actually filmed at, to replace this box, and ideally one page per key venue afterwards.
  • Confirmation of the price line used in the FAQ (“start in the low four figures”) before any figure appears here.
  • Two or three real Essex couples, with dates and venues, for the portfolio.
